Starting in Windows 10, a Windows app can send requests to Usbser.sys by using the Windows.Devices.SerialCommunication namespace. It defines Windows Runtime classes that can use to communicate with a USB CDC device through a serial port or some abstraction of a serial port. Select Windows 10 x64 MTK USB Drivers.inf for 64-bit Windows or select Windows 10 x86 MTK USB Drivers.inf for 32-bit Windows. After selecting click on OK. From the Model list select MTK USB Port and click Next. If a warning window pops up, click on Install the driver software anyway. I am not familiar with Windows OS driver model, but for example if you have a device with composite support for DFU + CDC ACM, and dfu-util triggers a download or upload, the device would re-attach in update mode without CDC ACM interface.
Before you begin
Driver updates for Windows 10, along with many devices, such as network adapters, monitors, printers, and video cards, are automatically downloaded and installed through Windows Update. You probably already have the most recent drivers, but if you'd like to manually update or reinstall a driver, here's how:
Update the device driver

If drivers were not downloaded automatically by Windows Update, use Device Manager to refresh the driver from Windows Update, or contact the device manufacturer. The Zephyr device model provides a consistent device model for configuring the drivers that are part of a system. The device model is responsible for initializing all the drivers configured into the system.

In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager.
Select a category to see names of devices, then right-click (or press and hold) the one you’d like to update.

Reinstall the device driver
